The most famous of the Rail-Trails and Seattle’s much loved bike route is the Burke-Gilman Trail. Along the trail there are dinosaurs, a rocket, 3 billy goats and a humongous troll. Keep your eyes open for these and more! The route spans from Ballard in the west to Bothell in the east where the trail meets up with the Sammammish Trail and continues to Redmond.

The route is part of the Rails to Trails movement across the continent and the Burke-Gilman is one of the best in Washington State.

Along the route lies the town of Fremont, self-proclaimed to be the Center of the Universe.
There’s lots to see and do here and the town provides a walking tour map that is great to follow and read about the interesting parts of the community.
